Anthropic has rolled out a batch of updates to the Claude apps on iPhone, iPad and Android, adding Apple CarPlay support for voice mode, a side by side view on larger screens, account switching and 24 new interface languages. The company outlined the changes in a thread on the official Claude account on X on October 29.
The first change affects iPad and iPhone Duo. According to Anthropic, content that Claude creates now opens beside the conversation rather than covering it, and it can be expanded to full screen for a closer look.

Voice mode received the most attention in the thread. On iPhone, voice mode now works with Apple CarPlay, which Anthropic said lets drivers ask Claude a question while keeping their hands on the wheel.

Anthropic also said voice mode on iOS and Android answers sooner and hears users better in a noisy room or when they speak quietly. Speech in languages other than English sounds more natural, according to the company, and voice now runs on more Android phones.
Mobile users can now stay signed into more than one account on iOS and Android and switch between them without signing out. On Chromebooks, Googlebooks and foldables, Claude on Android now behaves more like a laptop app, with a resizable sidebar, trackpad and right click support and the same keyboard shortcuts as Claude Desktop.
Language support has grown across every platform. Anthropic said the Claude app on web, desktop, iOS and Android is now available in 24 more languages, bringing the total to 33. The new additions include Bengali, Danish, Swahili, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.

One feature is still on the way. Anthropic said a pull down to search gesture is coming soon on iPhone and iPad. It will let users find a past chat or project, jump to any setting or act on a chat directly from the search results.

The thread closed by asking users what they would like to see next. Replies included requests for an image generation model, higher usage limits, a consistent font between Claude Code and the chat app and better mobile capabilities in general.
Anthropic did not say in the thread whether the updates are rolling out gradually or by region. At the time of this writing, the features other than search are described as available now, so users who do not see them yet may need to update the Claude app from the App Store or Google Play.
