Grok Bot, SpaceXAI's assistant that works on its own cloud computer, can now plug straight into Shopify stores. Once owners connect their store, they can ask it to check orders, track inventory and keep product listings up to date, according to the official Grok Bot account on X.
Shopify announced two connectors at once. One links a store to Grok, SpaceXAI's chatbot, so owners can ask questions about their business. The other links it to Grok Bot, which Shopify pitches as a way to "build a team of agents that help you run it."

Put simply, Grok answers questions and Grok Bot does the work. The Grok account said the chat connector can dig into products, orders, inventory and sales. Grok Bot's announcement image shows a request like "send me list of low inventory items and draft reorder," answered with a low-stock list synced from Shopify.
Setup is meant to be quick. Shopify suggested owners simply reply to its post and ask @bot to add Shopify, using the X tagging feature Grok Bot launched recently. Grok Bot answered several users saying it was sending the setup to their bot, and pointed people without an account to sign up first.
That account is the real requirement. According to the Grok Bot website, it comes with Cursor Pro, Pro+ and Ultra, SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus and Heavy, Cursor Teams and Enterprise plans. The changelog adds X Premium+ subscribers who link their account. Each plan includes weekly usage, and extra work is billed by token cost, so a bot that checks a busy store all day could cost more.
The connector also fixes a real problem. Some owners were already running stores through Grok Bot's built-in browser, logging into Shopify like a person would. Last month, one shop owner wrote on the Grok Bot community forum that this broke overnight when Shopify's "verify human" check began flagging the bot. A staff member agreed a proper Shopify connection was the right fix and said the team was looking at one. A direct connection skips that login page entirely.
Shop owners should also weigh what they already have. Shopify includes its own AI assistant, Sidekick, with every plan at no extra cost, and it can answer sales and inventory questions and take actions inside the Shopify admin. Grok Bot's pitch is broader: it can also sign into other tools a business uses and run routines on a schedule, even when the owner's laptop is closed.
It's also only for Shopify for now. When a seller asked about the secondhand marketplace Vinted, the Grok account said there's no native connector for it yet.
Some important details are still missing. Neither company has published a help page explaining exactly what the connector can see or change, whether it can edit prices, issue refunds or message customers, or how store and customer data is handled. SpaceXAI's connector documentation doesn't list Shopify yet.
Grok Bot's website says sensitive actions can be routed through an approval step before they run. Until fuller details arrive, owners may want to start with simple reports and keep a close eye on anything that changes listings or contacts customers.
