Nobody looks forward to a colonoscopy, and a surprise bill only makes it worse. Artem Russakovskii, founder of Android Police and APKMirror, says an AI agent helped make that bill vanish.
In a post on X on October 27, Russakovskii called it a late entry into the #musemoneychallenge and wrote that "Muse just saved me $330." Muse is Meta's personal AI agent, which launched in the US in September and can research, draft emails and act for a user with their approval.
My late entry into the @Muse #musemoneychallenge. Muse just saved me $330.

I have a colonoscopy coming up, and the doctor's office emailed me an estimate for $330 for my portion of the procedure.
I had Muse research and come up with a response, which it did brilliantly.
I just
According to the post, the doctor's office emailed an estimate of $330 as Russakovskii's share of the procedure. Russakovskii had Muse research the situation and come up with a reply, which the post says it did "brilliantly."
The screenshot attached to the post fills in the rest, and it comes from Gmail rather than Muse. A Gemini summary at the top of the thread shows a facility fee estimate of $329.95. It notes that Russakovskii asked whether the procedure could be billed as preventive or high risk screening. The provider then confirmed the colonoscopy is 100% covered as preventive with $0 patient responsibility and said to disregard the earlier estimate.
That summary card is Gmail's AI Overview feature. Per Google's help page, Gemini can place a short overview at the top of a long email thread that pulls together the key points and replies. Google also warns that Gemini can make mistakes and should not be treated as medical or financial advice, a disclaimer visible right in the screenshot.
The trick is worth knowing even without an agent. Many US insurance plans treat screening colonoscopies as preventive care, so asking how a procedure is billed can change what a patient owes. Results will vary by plan and provider.
Meta had not commented on the post at the time of this writing, and the details come only from Russakovskii's own account.
