Cursor's Agents Window has a new build, and the version number is the least interesting part. Build 3.28.7 lets Mac users pop an agent into its own window, preview a cloud agent's running app through a forwarded port and publish a cloud canvas behind a public link. The list comes from blankspeaker, a community moderator who diffs Cursor's builds and posts the changes before the company writes them up.
The account says the features are "AI-generated from changes in flags and strings since the last version" and warns that some may not be finished or active. That caveat matters. Cursor's public release notes stop at 3.27 for the Agents Window, so the company has not confirmed 3.28.7 or its feature list.
What the build appears to include: an Agents window on the Mac, new agents and chats including custom agents, searchable automation run history, app previews over forwarded ports, public canvas links, a model picker with a parameters submenu, Git repo creation from a tray when an agent has no remotes, and cloud projects started from an empty first commit.
Cursor 3.28.7 changes
Most of that is convenience. The public canvas link is the one with policy attached. Cursor's docs describe canvas sharing as a team feature: links are read-only, limited to members of your team and available on paid plans, with admins able to turn sharing off. A public link would take a canvas outside that boundary, which is a bigger change than a share popover suggests.
Canvases are not just charts. Cursor's docs describe them as interactive artifacts that agents build next to a chat, and cloud agents can create them as part of their work. A canvas can hold dashboards, audits or reports drawn from a repository. If anyone with a link can open one, teams need to know whether links expire, whether they can be revoked, and what happens to a canvas that quotes private code. Cursor has not published those details for 3.28.7.
The same diff lists work that is not out yet: a compact update button that restarts Cursor automatically, an issue reporter in the Help menu with a priority field, forking a teammate's cloud agent, default models for a cloud project, a unified layout for cloud agent repos, Cloudflare MCP connectors for Workers, D1, KV and R2, and an option to host a Grok bot on a team's own machines.
Forking a teammate's agent and per-project model defaults are admin features, not party tricks. They point at teams running many agents under one roof, where the question shifts from what an agent can do to who owns its work and which model it is allowed to use.
Cursor's last public notes for the Agents Window cover 3.27, which added project split panes and a calmer project setup. The gap between that and a build with public sharing is short, which is how Cursor ships. It is also why the flag list is worth reading with the caveat attached: some of it will land next week, and some of it will sit behind a flag for months.
