OpenAI's recap calls this DevDay its biggest yet, with "more than 20 major announcements." Codex

• Codex in the cloud. Start tasks in reusable cloud environments with your repo, dependencies and settings ready, then steer them from your phone or another computer while your laptop is closed. It's rolling out to Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise, with shared environments for teams (docs).
• A refreshed Codex CLI. Start and steer tasks by voice, track parallel work in a new /agents view, and get a cleaner full-screen interface, /usage analytics, themes, managed worktrees and Mermaid diagrams in the terminal (changelog).
• Code Review. Read pull-request summaries, diffs and findings in the ChatGPT desktop app, ask Codex about potential issues, then send feedback to GitHub or GitLab. Automatic reviews can take a first pass in the cloud.
• Codex Security Cloud. Scans entire GitHub repositories on demand or on a schedule, checks new commits, removes duplicate findings and prepares fixes. It includes OpenAI's Daybreak Blue cyber models without a separate Daybreak application.

ChatGPT for teams

• ChatGPT Space. A shared home for teammates, ChatGPT and your dot. It replaces Library (Projects stay separate) on Pro, Business and Enterprise, on desktop and web. Mobile can find, read and share for now.
• Pages. A new document type built for people and agents to edit together, with writing, research, charts and images.
• Collaborative slides. Due "in the coming weeks": decks that teammates and agents edit at the same time, with export to PowerPoint or Google Slides.
• Teams and team tasks. Business and Enterprise users can form teams and hand recurring work to tasks that run on a schedule or when something happens, like a new email or Slack message.
• @ChatGPT in Slack and Microsoft Teams. Mention it in a channel, thread or DM. Teammates don't need their own ChatGPT license. Business and Enterprise only.

Plugins and Sites

• Plugin extensions. Developers can give plugins a home in the sidebar, interactive panels beside the conversation and viewers for their file types. Available on all plans (docs).
• Better creation and discovery. A Plugin Creator, a redesigned submission flow and improved ranking, so relevant plugins can surface in conversations for ChatGPT's 1.2 billion weekly users. You still approve each plugin's access.
• MCP Events. Support for the proposed MCP Events spec lets plugins start automations when something changes in a connected app, even while you're away.
• Sites can host plugins on Business, Enterprise, Healthcare and Edu plans, and automations are easier to add.
• Shareable profiles. A profile page with your bio, activity stats and up to 12 Sites. Personal profiles are private by default, and shared profiles don't show your conversations (help).

API and agents

• Decisions API. Powered by GPT-6 Luna, it answers user-defined questions from a fixed set of possible answers, using text or images, for classification, routing or an agent's next step. Limited preview now, with a broad release planned "in the coming days."
• Computer use in the Agents API. The Agents API, in public beta since 10 September, can now work in an OpenAI-hosted browser (changelog).
• Bedrock Managed Agents, powered by OpenAI. Built with Amazon, so companies can run OpenAI agents entirely inside AWS (AWS).
• Private Intelligence. Zero Data Retention with Private Safety Processing runs automated safety reviews without OpenAI staff seeing the content. A Private Inference preview, using confidential computing, is due this fall.

For enterprises

• OpenAI Marketplace. Eligible enterprise customers can put part of their existing OpenAI commitment toward approved partner software. The first 32 partners include Figma, Adobe, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Harvey and CrowdStrike (Marketplace).
• Specialist dots. Company-provisioned dots with their own identity and credentials for set jobs, starting with enterprise pilots. OpenAI is working with Microsoft to manage them in Agent 365.

A caveat: not all of this is live. Slides and Private Inference are still to come, and the Decisions API is a limited preview. OpenAI's help center also says it's "gradually rolling out new features announced at DevDay," so some may not reach your account for a while.
